PostStats collects nonpublic personal information ("Information") about you when you register to use the Website and when you enter in information as a member of the Website. Such Information may include, for example:
- Identifiable Information such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, gender, occupation, and birthdate;
- Background Information such as your IP address, cookie information, and pages visited;
- Sports Information such as your memberships with athletic and/or golf clubs, types of equipment used, and quotes and ratings regarding sporting and vacation activities; and
- Historical Information regarding your transactions and relationships with PostStats and PostStats vendors.
Generally, PostStats shall not attempt to collect Information such as social security numbers, bank account information, and other information that is not necessary for you to enjoy the Website. We may collect credit card information with respect to the payment of your membership fees and to conduct Website business transactions; however, PostStats shall not share your credit card information with any other party without your prior consent.
In addition, your personal Information may be aggregated by PostStats and its affiliates and vendors with other members' Information to determine such issues as regional preferences, trends, and community achievements, for example.
PostStats may share your Information with its affiliates and vendors for a variety of reasons, including providing members with better services and offers from vendors, customized advertising (such as a coupon to a local golf course), improvement of services to members, research, and fulfilling members' requests for specific products and services. PostStats attempts to use and share your Information in order to make your membership with and use of the Website more rewarding and enjoyable. It is not PostStats's intention to annoy our members with advertising and spam. PostStats strives to make its members satisfied with the Website and to provide benefits to its members, and the use of your and other members' Information allows this to happen. PostStats will use Information for such purposes as: maintaining your account, resolving disputes; troubleshooting; helping promote safe interactive sports communities; collecting fees owed; measuring consumer interest in the golf industry; processing service requests; system updating; customizing your experience; detecting and protecting against errors and problems; protecting PostStats against fraud and other criminal activity; enforcing the PostStats Terms of Service; and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.
PostStats and the Website will collect Information about your sports activities, such as your golf game, for statistical purposes and other members' use. For example, such Information will include: ranking golf facilities, golf holes, other golfers, and golf equipment used. The collected Information will also be used to tailor how Website information is presented to individual members, such as a ranking of various indices that are important to the member, like price, quality, and pace of play for a particular golf course. Information that PostStats obtains from its members will be used to analyze the positive and negative elements of a particular subject, such as a golf course, and to provide feedback on such subjects. PostStats and the Website collect Information about your and other members' equipment to provide services such as appropriate advertising and relative equipment values. For example, a member may use a particular type of golf equipment, and the Website will have collected Information enough to determine how much that golf equipment can be sold for in the resale market. Further, the Website may be able to track equipment and other expenditures and provide a tally or other analysis regarding such expenditures (and whether such expenditures have any correlation with other factors, such as skill). All such information may be shared with vendors who may, for example, offer coupons or a free sample to a member who uses a specific type of equipment.
PostStats and the Website collect log files and cookies, to better track user trends and to improve the Website. PostStats automatically receives and records information on its server logs from your browser, including your IP address and pages you request.
PostStats does not wish to collect any information about children under the age of 18. The Website is intended to be used only by adults who are at least 18 years of age. You may choose to share information regarding your children in certain parts of the Website, but sharing such information will be at your discretion.
You can browse without providing any personal detail, logging in or becoming a member. The greatest benefits of the Website are reserved for members.
In order to become a member of the Website, you will be asked to provide some Information. For example, when you register PostStats will ask for your name, mailing address, email address, birth date, zip code, phone number and other Information.
PostStats requires that members pay membership dues via credit card or other approved electronic payment method. Using a credit card will require additional Information, such as a billing address, a credit card number and a credit card expiration date. Other payment methods may require certain tracking information. In order to provide better security, PostStats will not store your credit card Information for future purchases.
We provide Information to trusted external vendors who work on behalf of or with PostStats and its affiliates under confidentiality restrictions, for the purposes described above.
Administrators of Website communities will receive your Information when you agree to join their community, league, tournament, outing, or event, and the Information will be used to establish and facilitate communication. Community administrators are not permitted by PostStats to otherwise use or share your Information; however, such administrators are generally not PostStats employees and therefore PostStats's ability to control such administrators is limited. PostStats cannot be responsible for the use of Information by community administrators.
PostStats may also share Information with a third party if PostStats is acquired by or merged with another company, or enters into negotiations regarding same. The Information disclosure would be subject to confidentiality restrictions.
You can edit your PostStats account/membership Information, including your profiles and preferences, at any time.
You can disable your PostStats account/membership by visiting player administration. Sports statistical data may remain in our archived records after your account has been disabled. Accumulated data is the property of PostStats and cannot be migrated or transferred to another entity or website.
